CAFM "Takes Flight" at Inaugural Gala

Our school was delighted to host its first annual Gala on April 26, 2024 in historic Seville Quarter!

It was a festive evening, full of beauty and hope.  Registration for the Gala exceeded our initial expectations, requiring us to change (and upgrade!) our location.  The event was sold out weeks in advance and more than 130 people were in attendance.

Guest speaker Captain Kevin Miller (U.S. Navy Ret.) gave an address on the dire need for quality Catholic education in today's world, where Catholicism's great contributions to Western Civilization are scrubbed from the history books and where educational and moral values are sinking to ever-lower levels.  Captain Miller pointed to Chesterton Academy as a solution, as it prepares young people to stem the tide and encounter the challenges of the age with truth, courage and holiness.  

The Chesterton Academy student body was the highlight of the evening, performing an original ballroom and swing dance routine.  The student body also performed a beautiful assortment of a cappella choral works including hymns, sea shanties, and Irish melodies sung in harmony.  Live jazz music, a delicious dinner, and a wide array of raffle and silent auction items rounded out the evening.

We are humbled by the outpouring of support and generosity from those who were at the Gala in body and spirit.  We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for those who shared their time, talent, and treasure with our school.  Praise be to God we met our $100,000 goal!
