CAFM Students Sing for Advent!

Under the direction of Ms. Madeline Miller, the student body of Chesterton Academy of The Florida Martyrs provided choral music at the Vigil Mass for the Second Sunday of Advent at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church on December 9.  The students' voices filled the church in harmony, singing such beautiful Advent hymns as "Lo How A Rose Ere Blooming,"  "Savior of the Nations Come," and "Come O Long Expected Jesus."  This was a great accomplishment for our students, many of whom never have sung in public before this school year started in August!

Cafm Choir Practice

At a Chesterton Academy, all students sing in the choir!  An education at Chesterton includes music theory, performance, ear training, note reading, and musical analysis. Music history is taught according to the grade level with an emphasis on music development within the Church, and corresponds to the historical period in which the students are immersed. Congratulations to the students and Ms. Miller on a job well done!
